We would like to welcome you to the VI International Congress on Stress Proteins in Biology and Medicine which is to be held in Sheffield, UK (18-22 August 2013).
The meeting will be held in the state-of-the-art Edge Conference Centre at the University of Sheffield. The focus of the Congress will be the
NEXT GENERATION
and the programme will encourage the active participation of Graduate Students and Early Career Researchers.
The Congress follows previous meetings in Québec (2011), Sapporo (2009), Budapest (2007), Tomar (2005) and Québec (2003) and is run under the auspices of the Cell Stress Society International.
It will be our pleasure to welcome as our Distinguished Guest Ferruccio Ritossa, the discoverer of the heat shock response in Drosophila in 1962 and now a sculptor (brief biography • PDF).
The 2013 Congress will again gather together the world's most prominent researchers in the field and foster the exchange of information in a number of different areas. The programme is currently being developed and so please do call back here regularly for updates.
